PB2 by GRC

Out of all the EF1 s I’ve had this is by far the best it holds on a knife edge like it’s on rails, I’m running all the EF1 regulated parts motor prop and battery, I’m still half a lap ahead this plane is amazing!!

In the 35 years of modeling I have never seen a kit this bad. Literally nothing fits or aligns properly. First, I mounted the wing using the factory drilled holes. The wing would not seat in the saddle and I had to modify the front mount and it is still very tight to the point where I could not use the fairings. I ran into alignment issues when mounting the tail. It was off by more than 1”. Upon investigation, the factory holes for the wing were way off and I had to make new mounting points to straighten the airplane out. It is virtually impossible to glue the canopy on because the paint used attacked the plastic and it is all curled under. Impossible to glue nicely. The canopy barely fits on the nose and ended up cracking when pushed back to align with the spinner. The angle set on the motor makes it so that you cannot align the spinner with the cowl. Also, the elevator pushrod sleeve is not aligned with the slot in the side of the fuse and is causing major drag.
I had built many of the original Proud Bird’s and they were much better. This was a huge disappointment.

Fantastic plane. Great racer. Only concern is canopy is curled up and very difficult to align and bond in place. would be better if factory attached canopy to frame before shipping.

The canopy and cowl could be better. Canopy was curled from heat I believe, would be better if it was glued to the frame at the factory

Great flight right out of the box. "No trimming needed" very fast and quick on command."great airplane"!
